In a large pot over medium heat, add oil. When hot, add onion and celery. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring, until tender and lightly browned. Add garlic; cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
Add orzo, asparagus, broth, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 8-10 minutes, until orzo and asparagus are tender.
Add white beans, peas, salt, pepper, thyme, and turmeric; stir. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
